Each year we conduct public engagement to get input from residents and businesses to guide the development of the draft annual budget.

All public input on the budget helps to inform City Council’s deliberation of the draft budget, leading to the approval of a final budget for the upcoming year.

You can also share your ideas and ask questions about the City’s budget using the tools below.


Budget Process

The budget process allows the City of Quesnel to make resource allocation decisions, including choices about staffing, service levels, and which priorities will be addressed in the coming fiscal year. Priorities for Council are set out in their Strategic Plan. The new Council is currently in the process of reviewing and updating the Strategic Plan.
